OFFICIAL VISIT OF PRC
MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, LI ZHAOXING


Mr Li Zhaoxing, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, will visit Singapore on 25 July 2003 at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs Prof S Jayakumar. It will be Mr Li's first official visit to Singapore as Foreign Minister.

Mr Li will call on Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew and meet with Deputy Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Minister Prof S Jayakumar.

Mr Li and Prof S Jayakumar will also witness the signing ceremony to renew and expand the 5-year-old Reciprocal Training Programme, which aims at sharing experience and skills through training courses for foreign ministry officials.
