Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will visit Negeri Sembilan, Pahang and Terengganu in Malaysia from 1 to 3 October 2019. This visit is part of Singapore’s continued efforts to strengthen our longstanding and close relations with the Malaysian states, and to deepen our engagement with Malaysia at all levels.
In Negeri Sembilan, Minister Balakrishnan will have an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir. The Tunku Besar of Seri Menanti Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Ali Redhauddin Ibni Tuanku Muhriz will join the audience. Minister Balakrishnan will also meet the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan YAB Dato’ Seri Aminuddin Harun and members of the Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council.
In Pahang, Minister Balakrishnan will have an audience with Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Muda Pahang Tengku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah. Minister Balakrishnan will be hosted to lunch by the Menteri Besar of Pahang YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Wan Rosdy Bin Wan Ismail, and meet members of the Pahang State Executive Council and other Pahang State Assemblypersons. He will be hosted to dinner by Pahang State Secretary Dato’ Sri Dr Sallehuddin Ishak.
In Terengganu, Minister Balakrishnan will meet the Menteri Besar of Terengganu YAB Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and be hosted to lunch by members of the Terengganu State Executive Council.
Minister Balakrishnan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
