The most convenient way to reach the Embassy is by taking the Toei Oedo Line or Tokyo Metro Namboku Line to Azabujuban Station. There are directions to the Embassy in the subway station. Exit Azabujuban Station via Exit 7 and turn right. At the junction of Torizaka-shita, turn right and walk up a steep slope. The Embassy is located at the first side-road on the right.
From the Shuto Highway (Inner Circular Route), leave via the Iikura Exit. At the next traffic light, take a left turn into Gaien Higashi Dori. At the second traffic light (Roppongi 5-chome junction), take a left turn. Drive past the Minato ward library and Toyo Eiwa Girls School on the left and International House of Japan on the right. The Embassy is located on the left side of the road.
Drivers are advised to park at an underground public carpark located near the Embassy. The hourly charges are 200 yen for 30 minutes. Click here for a location map of the Azabujuban public carpark.
It may be useful to ask the taxi driver to head towards Toriizaka-shita. Alternatively, pass the taxi driver the map of the Embassy or address and telephone number of the Embassy so that the driver can key the information into his vehicle’s GPS.
