Travel Notice for France
1 December 2018
Protests against the French Government’s fuel tax continue across France. According to the Ministry of the Interior, approximately 282 000 and 106 000 people took part in marches and demonstrations on 17 and 24 November 2018 respectively. More protestors are expected to take to the streets on the weekend of 1 and 2 December 2018. Traffic disruptions, violence and other disturbances cannot be ruled out.
Singaporeans who are either travelling to or already in France are advised to avoid large gatherings and demonstrations, monitor local media for developments and heed the instructions of the local authorities.
