High Commission of the Republic of Singapore - Kuala Lumpur

Notarial Services

The Consular Section provides notarial and authentication services for documents that are used in Singapore.  Please bring along your passport or identity card as a form of identification should you require such services.

We will directly legalise documents issued by the Singapore Government (e.g Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, etc). For Malaysia documents or non-government documents to be used in Singapore, the authentication process will be as follows:

  1. Bring the documents to a local Notary Public for legalisation.
  2. Legalised documents should be brought to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia for attestation.
  3. After the attestation, the documents should then be brought to the Singapore High Commission for endorsement.
