Singaporeans who have lost they passports may apply for a Document of Identity, valid for a Single Journey to travel back to Singapore, at the Consulate-General during office hours on Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
Before You Come To The Consulate-General:
- Lodge a police report and request for a copy of the report
- Prepare one passport-size (45mm X 35mm) photograph with plain white background.
When You Are At The Consulate-General:
- Please show documentary proof of your citizenship and your identity, if possible
- The processing fee for the issuance of Document Of Identity is RM46
The processing time will usually take one working day to allow us to verify your particulars with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) in Singapore. You will then be issued with a Document of Identity, valid for a Single Journey, to travel back to Singapore. Please bring along your police report when you depart Johor Bahru.
Permanent Residents and Singapore Employment Pass Holders:
Singapore Permanent Residents and Employment Pass Holders who have lost their passports should contact their respective Embassies / Consulates for advice.
