Lost / Stolen Singapore Passport

Singaporeans who have lost they passports may apply for a Document of Identity, valid for a Single Journey to travel back to Singapore, at the Consulate-General during office hours on Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am to 5.00pm.

Before You Come To The Consulate-General:

  • Lodge a police report and request for a copy of the report
  • Prepare one passport-size (45mm X 35mm) photograph with plain white background.

When You Are At The Consulate-General:

  • Please show documentary proof of your citizenship and your identity, if possible
  • The processing fee for the issuance of Document Of Identity is RM46

Processing Time:

The processing time will usually take one working day to allow us to verify your particulars with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) in Singapore. You will then be issued with a Document of Identity, valid for a Single Journey, to travel back to Singapore. Please bring along your police report when you depart Johor Bahru.

Permanent Residents and Singapore Employment Pass Holders:

Singapore Permanent Residents and Employment Pass Holders who have lost their passports should contact their respective Embassies / Consulates for advice.
