Applications for the Dr Goh Keng Swee (GKS) Scholarship are now open to interested candidates from selected Asia Pacific countries.
The GKS Scholarship is a private sector scholarship set up by the financial community in Singapore in honour of former Deputy Prime Minister Dr Goh Keng Swee, who fostered Singapore’s economic development and growth as a reputable international financial centre. Every year, about three scholarships are awarded to outstanding individuals to pursue undergraduate studies at the following local universities in Singapore – National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University and Singapore University of Technology and Design.
Applicants should concurrently apply for admission to the four universities listed above, adhering to the university’s admission deadlines and guidelines. Applicants should also have sat for the SATs, or made arrangements to take the SATs. Recipients of the scholarship will be supported for a maximum of four years of undergraduate study, comprising roundtrip economy airfare, tuition and other compulsory fees, maintenance, hostel and settling-in allowances. The award will be reviewed annually, and is subject to satisfactory performance and academic results.
The deadline for scholarship applications is 15 March 2018. Interested applicants can refer to https://abs.org.sg/dr-goh-keng-swee-scholarship for more information, and to submit their application. Further enquiries can also be sent to GKS_Scholarships@abs.org.sg.
