Registration for SingPass Account
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are eligible to apply for a SingPass acount on the SingPass homepage by clicking here.
Upon successful registration, your Singpass password will be mailed to your registered address. Please note that there will be a longer delivery time to overseas mail.
SingPass 2-Step Verification (2FA)
To better protect your personal data, SingPass 2FA is only required to selected government digital transactions that involve sensitive data (e.g. IRAS Tax Filing, Accessing CPF Statement, ICA-related transactions and etc.). This means that in addition to your SingPass ID and password, you will need to enter a One-Time Password (OPT) sent via SMS to your Singapore-registered mobile number, or generated through a OneKey token.
For Overseas Singaporeans who do not have a Singapore-registered mobile number, please follow the steps below to set up your OneKey Tolen 2FA:
- Log into your SingPass account and click "Set Up 2-Step Verification" under the Quick Links section.
- Next, click "Verification by OneKey token" amd confirmed your registered address displayed on screen.
- A Pin mailer and token will be sent separately to your registered address within 7 days for Singapore address and 10 days for overseas address (subject to overseas portal operator delays).
- Follow the instructions in you PIN mailer to activiate your OneKey Token.
If you have misplaced or did not receive your PIN mailer, please request a new PIN mailer be sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have set up your 2FA, you can reset it immediately online by visiting the SingPass homepage at www.singpass.gov.sg and selecting 'Menu' > 'Reset Password' (under the 'Services' tab).
For Overseas Singaporeans who have yet to set up your 2FA, please access Reset Password function on the SingPass website, and follow the instructions to request for a PIN mailer password. You will receive the PIN mailer password via mail (to your registered address) within ten working days (depending on your local postage service).
Upon receiving your PIN mailer password, please access the SingPass website and log in with your SingPass ID and the password that is provided in the PIN mailer. You will be prompted to reset your password before you can use your SingPass account.
