Singapore Passport Application

Please apply for a new passport at the Consulate if your current passport is expiring in about six months or contain no space / pages for visas.

From 15 Aug 2006, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) only issues the 64-page Biometric passport (BioPass) that is machine-readable. In line with international requirements, holders of biometric passports will not be allowed to update their passport photograph.

The Singapore Passport is valid for 5 years for first time applicants. If you are renewing your passport which carries a remaining validity of 9 months or less, the remaining validity of your passport will be carried over to your new passport. In such a case, your new passport will have a validity period of 5 years, plus the remaining validity of your old passport. However, if you are renewing a passport with more than 9 months' validity, your new passport will have a validity period of 5 years and 9 months.
