2018 Dr Goh Keng Swee Scholarship (GKS) Exercise

The Dr Goh Keng Swee (GKS) Scholarship is a private sector scholarship administered by the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS).  It was set up by the financial community in Singapore in honour of former Deputy Prime Minister Dr Goh Keng Swee, who fostered Singapore’s economic development and growth as a reputable international finance centre. 

                Application for the 2018 Dr GKS Scholarship is open from 1 Nov 17 to 15 Mar 18.  Applicant must be a citizen/passport holder of the 15 Asia-Pacific Territories namely Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong SAR, Indian, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam to be eligible for this scholarship.   Applicant also has to concurrently apply for admission to National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University or Singapore University of Technology and Design, and possess strong leadership qualities, good academics and co-curricular activities achievements.  Applicant is also required to make your own arrangements to take the SAT.  For more information about the 2018 Dr GKS Scholarship and to submit your application, please refer to ABS website at


                Shortlisted applicants will be required to take an online personality profiling test in Mar/Apr 2018, and encouraged to travel to Singapore to attend the final interview in end-May 2018.  If applicants are unable to travel to Singapore, alternative arrangements can be made.
