Overview

Entry requirement for all foreigners

Visa application is required for citizens / passport holders of the following countries:

Nationals of Assessment Level I Countries


India*, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, People's Republic of China^, Holders of Hong Kong Document of Identity, Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Travel Permit, Georgia†, Turkmenistan*, Ukraine*, Commonwealth of Independent States (Armenia†, Azerbaijan*, Belarus†, Kazakhstan*, Kyrgyzstan*, Moldova*, Russia*, Tajikistan*, Uzbekistan~)

*Holders of diplomatic, official and service passports do not need a visa for entry.

^Holders of diplomatic, public affairs and service passports do not need a visa for entry.

†Holders of diplomatic and official passports do not need a visa for entry.

~Holders of diplomatic passports do not need a visa for entry.


Nationals of Assessment Level II Countries


Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh*, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan*, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco^, Mali, Nigeria*, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia^, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia*, Yemen and holders of Palestinian Authority Passport, Temporary Passport issued by the United Arab Emirates and Refugee Travel Document** issued by Middle-East countries

*Holders of diplomatic, official and service passports do not need a visa for entry.

^Holders of diplomatic passports do not need a visa for entry.

**These travel documents are subject to assessment of recognition for entry into Singapore.


Documents required for visa application (Level 1 countries)


1.    Level 1 countries (For tourism):


  • Duly completed and signed Form 14A (www.ica.gov.sg/) with 1 recent passport-sized coloured photograph (taken within last 3 months against a white background) attached properly on the form. Please note that scanned and unclear photographs will not be accepted.
  • Photocopy of the passport biodata page (valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Singapore.)
  • Copy of Swiss permit or copy of the Swiss/Schengen visa.
  • Flight details from the travel agency or copy of the e-ticket.
  • Booking confirmation from the hotel in Singapore.
  • CHF 22.- (cash only) being the visa fee. Please note that this amount is not refundable should the application be rejected by our Immigration office. The Singapore Permanent Mission is not liable and does not bear any responsibility for the misplacement/loss of the visa fee sent by post.
  • Both Swiss contact numbers and email address written on a separate piece of paper attached to the application form.


2.    Additional documents for Level 1 countries (For business trips or when residing at family/friends place during the stay in the country):


  • A printed business profile of the Singapore-registered business entity you will be visiting (showing the names of all directors and shareholders). The business profile must have been printed from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)’s Instant Information Service within the last three months.


3.    Additional notes for Level 1 countries:


  • A completed Form V39A (www.ica.gov.sg/) may be required on a case-by-case basis. The V39A form may be issued by a local contact* in Singapore.


*The local contact must be either a Singapore citizen (SC) or a Singapore permanent resident (PR) who is at least 21 years old with a SingPass/CorpPass account. If you are applying for an entry visa for business visit (attending business negotiations or discussions), the local contact must be acting on behalf of the Singapore-registered business entity. LOIs issued by your Embassy can also be accepted, if you are unable to secure an LOI from a local contact to support your visa application for social and business visits.

Any incomplete form or false declaration will result in the application being delayed or rejected.

  

The Consular Section processes visa applications for foreigners who require a visa to enter Singapore. Swiss nationals do not require a visa to enter Singapore.
