Countries Requiring Visa
Tourists who are travelling with Australian Passports are not required to have an Entry Visa to enter Singapore. However, they must fulfil the following entry requirements:

• A passport with at least 6 months’ validity at the intended date of arrival in Singapore
• Sufficient funds to last for the intended period of stay in Singapore
• Confirmed onward/return tickets (where applicable)
• Entry facilities to their onward destinations, e.g. visas.
• Completed Disembarkation/Embarkation Card
• Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, if applicable

Possession of a visa does not entitle a foreigner to enter Singapore automatically. The grant of a visit pass to a foreign visitor is determined by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) at the Singapore checkpoints and each case is considered on its own merits.

Foreigners holding travel documents issued by the following countries will require either a Business Visa or Social Visit Visa to enter Singapore.

Nationals of Assessment Level I Countries
Georgia**, India*, People's Republic of China^^, Holders of Hong Kong Document of Identity, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Travel Permit, Turkmenistan, Ukraine~, Commonwealth of Independent States** (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan).

Nationals of Assessment Level II Countries
Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh*, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan*, Republic of Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mali, Pakistan, Nigeria*, Saudi Arabia^, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia*, Yemen, and holders of Palestinian Authority Passport, Temporary Passport issued by the United Arab Emirates, Refugee Travel Document issued by Middle-East countries and Australian Travel Document

* Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Service passports are exempted from visa requirements.
** Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Service passports are exempted from visa requirements for a stay of up to 30 days.
^^Holders of Diplomatic, Service and Public Affairs passports are exempted from visa requirements for a stay of up to 30 days.
~ Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Service passports are exempted from visa requirements for a stay of up to 90 days.


If you are visiting Singapore to conduct or participate in a conference, seminar, workshop or gathering of a racial/ communal, religious, cause-related or political nature; or if you are a reporter/ journalist who are visiting Singapore to write a story; or if you are performing at nightclubs and lounges, you will need to apply for a Miscellaneous Work Pass/ Work Permit (Performing Artiste). All holders of non-regular Travel Documents must consult with the Singapore High Commission on visa requirements to enter Singapore.

Visa Applications
With effect from 1st June 2014, the Singapore High Commission will only process visa applications for those residing in Canberra or who choose to walk-in. Our operating hours are between 8.30 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm from Monday to Fridays. We are closed on Australian Public Holidays and the week during Christmas.

Applicants who are not residing in Canberra, ACT, will have to submit their visa applications at www.vfsglobal.com/singapore/australia. The following authorised visa agents are listed below.

At the moment, we do not have offices catering to applicants residing in Northern Territory and Tasmania. For applicants who are residing in Northern Territory, you are welcome to approach the VFS offices located in QLD or WA, whereas for Tasmanian applicants, you may approach VFS offices located in SA or VIC.

Applications should not be submitted more than one month before intended travel date, unless special circumstances apply.

Visa Processing Fees
The visa processing fee for every application is AUD30 and has to be paid upon application of visa. The visa processing fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the application or if you choose to withdraw after the process of your visa application has commenced.

Service Charge
A service fee of A$65 (level 1) and A$95 (level 2) is chargeable by the Authorised Visa Agents for their services, on top of the visa processing fee of A$30 per application.

Visa Processing Time
The processing of visa applications will take at least 4 working days for Level 1 countries applicants from the date of receipt of complete applications, and at least 10 working days for Level 2 countries applicants.

Applicants will have to take into consideration the time taken for the posting of the visa applications and documents. There is no facility for expediting the visa application process.

Documents required for visa application
1. For both Level 1 and 2 countries applicants:
- Duly completed and signed (Form 14A) with 1 recent passport-sized coloured photograph (taken within last 3 months against a white background) attached properly on the form.
- Please note that scanned or unclear photographs will not be accepted.
- Any incomplete form or false declaration will result in the application being delayed or rejected respectively.

2. For Level 2 countries applicants only:
- (Form V39A) must be filled out by any Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) who is at least 21 years old.
- If applicants are not able to provide Form V39A, they will have to provide a cover letter to indicate the reasons and their situation for ICA’s consideration,

3. Original Passport (it must have at least 6 months’ validity from the intended date of entry.)

4. Photocopies of biodata page and the current Australian visa.

5. If you are a holder of a PRC passport, please bring along your original or copy of your PRC Identity Card.

6. Photocopies of confirmed travel itinerary issued (Mode of transport can be by plane, train, cruise or car)
- If applicant is travelling to Singapore on road, a letter showing the intended dates of arrival and departures is needed.

7. Both Australian contact numbers and email address written on a separate piece of paper, attached to your application form.

8. A self-addressed Express Post or Platinum Express Post envelope.
- Please arrange with Australian Post or a courier company for the safe delivery of documents.
- The Singapore High Commission is not liable or does not bear any responsibilities for the loss of any travel documents (including original passports) sent by post or courier.
