Application For The Issue Of A Singapore Passport Overseas
There are two ways to apply for a new Singapore International Passport if you reside in Australia.
The fastest and most efficient way is through the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website, www.ica.gov.sg, to apply for a passport online. Your details and payment can be processed over the internet, and your new passport will be sent to us in Canberra from Singapore.This process should take approximately 4 weeks.
Alternatively, you can apply for a new passport through the High Commission. This method should take approximately 8 weeks to complete. Passport application forms are available from the I.C.A. website. Please complete and mail the application form together with copies of the following documents to us.
- Singapore passport
- Birth or Citizenship Certificate
- Deed Poll (Applicable to applicants who have had their birth names legally changed)
- One passport-sized photograph (Taken against a white background and less than 40 kb in size)
- Exit Permit or Notice of Exemption (Applicable to male applicants only)
- Passport fees by Australian Money Order or Bank Cheque payable to "Singapore High Commission, Canberra".
Passport Renewal - A$79.00
Replacement of lost, destroy or damaged passport:
a) First replacement - A$129.00
b) Second or subsequent replacement - A$178.00
Female applicants who wish to change the format of their name, or have their married name included in their new passport must provide copies of their marriage certificate and deed poll. Applicants should advise in writing how they wish their married name to appear in the new passport.

Note: Most countries require passports to be valid for at least six months on the date of entry. Please renew your passports early.
Once your passport is ready, you will be contacted by email and/or phone. You will be required to appear in person at the Singapore High Commission in Canberra to collect your new passport during weekdays. Please remember to bring along your existing passport to be invalidated.
Uncollected passports still with the Singapore High Commission for more than 6 months will be returned to ICA for follow-up action.
