Ambassador Chua accompanied Privy Councillor General Surayud Chulanont on a royal assistance mission to the provinces of Mukdahan and Nakhon Phanom.

At each school, General Surayud, Ambassador Chua and the Governor, presented royal supplies to the needy. The royal medical mobile unit from Ramathibodi Hospital also provided medical services to the local community.

Ambassador Chua also accompanied General Surayud to visit the royal development projects at Upper Huay Bang Sai (Mukdahan) and Kam River (Nakhon Phanom).

7 August 2012: Reception hosted by Ambassador Chua Siew San on the occasion of the 47th National Day of the Republic of Singapore

 

Ambassador Chua Siew San hosted a reception on the occasion of the 47th National Day of the Republic of Singapore at the Shangri-La Bangkok on 7 August 2012.  

 

Attended by Thai dignitaries, members of the Diplomatic Corps and Singaporeans who are based in Thailand, the reception showcased a wide selection of Singaporean food and also featured a photo exhibition on Singapore-Thailand bilateral relations.

 

In her National Day Reception Remarks, Ambassador Chua said that she was confident that relations between Singapore and Thailand would continue to flourish, as both sides cherished the friendship and valued the long history of mutual respect and cooperation.

 

Ambassador Chua made a toast to the good health and well-being of His Majesty the King and to peace and prosperity in the Kingdom of Thailand, followed by another toast to the President of Singapore, and to the enduring friendship between Singapore and Thailand.

19 June 2012: Dinner hosted by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at Sa Pathum Palace

 

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted an audience and hosted dinner at Sa Pathum Palace in honour of Mr George Yeo, former Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore and Chairman of the International Advisory Panel of India's Nalanda University. Mr Yeo, accompanied by Ambassador Chua Siew San, presented a letter of invitation for Her Royal Highness to be a member of the International Advisory Panel of Nalanda University.

12 May 2012: Ambassador Chua Siew San attended the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Alumni Association Thailand's 4th Anniversary Alumni Get-Together Dinner

 

Ambassador Chua Siew San attended the NTU Alumni Association Thailand's 4th Anniversary Alumni Get-Together Dinner as the Guest-of-Honour at Silver Palace Restaurant on 12 May 2012. Offering her congratulations to all NTU alumni in Thailand, Ambassador Chua said that she hoped that they would continue to take an active part in building a more extensive network that could lead to greater opportunities for intellectual, economic and cultural exchange between the peoples of Singapore and Thailand. 1 May 2012: Reception for the winners of the "Young Ambassadors of Virtue for the Strength of the Land" Project at the Singapore Embassy

 

Ambassador Chua Siew San hosted a reception for the winners of the "Young Ambassadors of Virtue for the Strength of the Land" Project at the Singapore Embassy on 1 May 2012. The Singapore Embassy has been working closely with the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to support one of the key highlights of the Foundation’s project, which was a study visit to Singapore for six pairs of primary school students and teachers. From over two thousand schools in Thailand, 12 students and teachers who were chosen on the basis of their contribution towards forging national unity visited Singapore from 2 to 5 May 2012. During their four days in Singapore, they visited schools, the National Museum of Singapore, the Singapore Science Centre and various places of interest. They also visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, where they were hosted to tea by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Mr Masagos Zulkifli and Permanent Secretary Mr Bilahari Kausikan. At the reception on the eve of the delegation's departure for Singapore, Ambassador Chua Siew San presented mementoes to the winners of the project after delivering her welcome remarks in the presence of Thai VIPs and officials.

20 April 2012: Tea Reception for the National Hockey Team

 

The Singapore National Men's Hockey Team visited Thailand for the Asian Hockey Federation Cup in Bangkok from 16 to 24 April 2012. In support of the national team, Ambassador Chua Siew San hosted tea for the team donning national colours at the Singapore Embassy on 20 April 2012.

5 April 2012: Closing Ceremony of Exercise Kocha Singa 2012

 

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Royal Thai Army (RTA) concluded an annual bilateral army exercise, codenamed Exercise Kocha Singa on 5 April 2012. The closing ceremony was officiated by Chief of Army Major-General Ravinder Singh and Commander-in-Chief of RTA General Prayut Chan-O-Cha in Sa Kaeo Province.

 

Thai Prime Minister, H.E. Yingluck Shinawatra, Thai Minister of Defence, H.E. Air Chief Marshal Sukumpol Suwanatat, Singapore's Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Defence and National Development) Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, and Ambassador Chua Siew San attended the ceremony.
