Thai Visa Application for Singapore Citizens

The information provided here is meant solely as a guide for Singaporeans. Every effort has been made to ensure that the information on entry requirements for Singaporeans visiting Thailand is correct and up to date. However, as entry requirements are determined by the Thai Government and may change at short notice, you should check with the Royal Thai Embassy or the Thai Immigration Bureau to ensure that you have accurate information for your specific purpose prior to departure.

Visa Requirement

No (for stay not exceeding 30 days for each entry and a cumulative duration of stay not exceeding 90 days within any six months).

Note: With effect from 31 December 2016, travellers entering Thailand through land border checkpoints are eligible to do so without visa only twice in a calendar year (for each stay not exceeding 15 days).

Clampdown on Visa Runs by Foreigners in Thailand

With effect from 13 Aug 2014, all foreigners in Thailand will be prohibited from extending their stay in the country by making visa runs to neighbouring countries via either land or air. Foreigners are required to apply for the appropriate entry visas at Thai Embassies before returning to Thailand. Possession of a valid Thai visa would not guarantee entry into Thailand as the checkpoint authorities have the right to deny visa holders entry.

Click here to view the latest announcement from the Thai Immigration Bureau on the new regulations for visa extension, which will take effect on 29 August 2014.
