Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, with a delegation of younger Singapore leaders, are in Negara Brunei Darussalam from 3 to 5 November 2017 for the 5th Young Leaders’ Programme (YLP).

DPM Teo, Mrs Teo and the Singapore delegation went on a morning walk with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office of Negara Brunei Darussalam, His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul Malik, Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna, and various Bruneian Ministers and Deputy Ministers at the recently-inaugurated Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas (Golden Jubilee Park). DPM Teo is the first foreign dignitary to officially visit the iconic riverfront park, and signed a plaque together with Crown Prince Billah in commemoration of the 5th YLP. DPM Teo and the delegation were hosted to breakfast by Crown Prince Billah, and the group continued their walk to the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien (Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien Park) to experience the weekend festivities of Brunei’s car-free Sunday initiative, Bandarku Ceria.

The delegation returns to Singapore this afternoon. Singapore will host the 6th YLP next year.
