Travel Advisory for Libya [Updated 23 November 2017]

In view of the volatile security situation in Libya, Singaporeans are strongly advised against travelling to or remaining in Libya.  Incidents of unrest and indiscriminate attacks by armed militia groups continue to take place throughout the country.  We expect the situation to remain unstable for the foreseeable future.

Singapore has no diplomatic representation in Libya which constrains our ability to extend consular assistance in an emergency.  Singaporeans who need assistance can contact the Singapore Embassy in Cairo or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Duty Office (24 hours) at:
