Travel Advisory for Yemen [Updated: 20 November 2017]

The armed conflict in Yemen is on-going.  The humanitarian situation is still dire and it remains difficult to leave Yemen.  Overland evacuation is fraught with security risks and uncertainties.  There are also delays at the land borders due to stricter border controls imposed by neighbouring countries.

Singapore has no diplomatic representation in Yemen.  MFA strongly advises Singaporeans to avoid all travel to Yemen. Those who are still in Yemen should leave immediately and not put themselves at serious risk.  Should Singaporeans choose to remain in Yemen, you are strongly encouraged to e-Register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs so that we can contact you should the need arise.  Singaporeans are also advised to stay in touch with your family and friends so that they know you are safe.  Singaporeans who need assistance to depart Yemen, or the Next-of-Kin of Singaporeans who are still in Yemen, can contact the Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore in Muscat or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Duty Office (24-hours) at:
