Graduate Internship Programme

The MFA Graduate Internship Programme is open to recent graduates who are keen on gaining a first-hand experience and insight into the work handled by Foreign Service Officers (FSOs). Candidates may use the opportunity to better assess their own organisation and job fit before committing to a career with MFA.

Interested candidates may apply for a 4-week attachment to one of the Directorates in our Singapore Headquarters (HQ), or with selected Overseas Missions (OMs). FSOs are groomed along two career paths, “Functional and Corporate” and “Political and Economic”.  Depending on your inclinations and strengths, you may wish to select placements based on your preferred career track.

Find out more about the two FSO career paths here and MFA’s organizational structure here.

Exceptional Singaporean graduates in their final year of study or have recently completed their tertiary education, and are seriously considering MFA for employment may apply. All academic disciplines are welcome.  Candidates who are still in the midst of your tertiary education (including Masters) should apply for the Undergraduate Internship Programme.
