    Hurricane Delta

    A Hurricane Warning is in effect from High Island, Texas to Morgan City, Louisiana due to Hurricane Delta. Hurricane force winds will also spread inland across portions of southern Louisiana near the path of the hurricane. Life-threatening storm surge is expected and a Storm Surge Warning is in effect from High Island, Texas to Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Heavy rainfall will lead to significant flash flooding and minor to major river flooding in parts of Louisiana on Friday and Saturday. Additional flooding is expected across portions of the central Gulf Coast into the Lower Mississippi Valley. Singaporeans in the areas which could be potentially affected are advised to be vigilant, take necessary precautions and ensure that you have your hurricane plan in place. Please heed the instructions of local authorities at all times, including evacuation orders and stay in touch with your family and friends so that they know you are safe.     Entry Approval Required For All Long-Term Pass Holders

    In view of the heightened risk of importation of COVID-19 cases into Singapore, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and the Ministry of Education (MOE) will implement additional precautionary measures for all Long-Term Pass (LTP) holders who are entering or returning to Singapore. These include holders of the Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP), the Student’s Pass (STP), as well as those who have been granted In-Principle Approval (IPA) for a LTP. These measures will come into effect from 29 March 2020, 2359 hours.
