Shanghai Mayor Yang Xiong's visit to Singapore

Shanghai Mayor Yang Xiong visited Singapore in May 2015 to address the ‘2015 China Business Network Forum (Singapore-Shanghai)’. At the Forum, Mayor Yang highlighted the potential for deepening collaboration between Singapore and Shanghai in technological innovation, and expressed interest to foster multi-faceted cooperation with Singapore under China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ strategy.

During the visit, Mayor Yang called on PM Lee Hsien Loong, Minister (Trade & Industry) Lim Hng Kiang and Senior Minister of State (Trade & Industry and National Development) Lee Yi Shyan.

Mayor Yang and Minister Lim also witnessed the signing of four MOUs between Singapore and Shanghai. A copy of IE Singapore’s press release can be found here.
