• Public Inspection of the Registers of Electors
  • Registration as Overseas Elector at the 10 Designated Overseas Polling Stations

1          The updated Registers of Electors have been prepared and are open for public inspection from 14 to 27 March 2020.

2          The Registers contain the names of all qualified electors based on the cut-off date of 1 March 2020 (the prescribed date). Use your SingPass to check whether your name is on the Registers of Electors on ELD Voter Services.

3          If you are a qualified elector and have resided in Singapore for an aggregate of at least 30 days during the 3-year period between 1 March 2017 and 29 February 2020, you may apply to register as an overseas elector to vote at one of the 10 designated overseas polling stations [New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, London, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Canberra and Dubai].

4          If you have earlier registered as an overseas elector, you are still required to re-register at Voter Services using your SingPass if you meet the qualifying criteria and wish to remain as an overseas elector.  Application for registration as an overseas elector is open all-year round. However, in accordance with the law, we will not be able to process applications during the period from the 3rd day after the Writ for an election is issued until the Polling Day for the election.

5          You may wish to note that the Singapore Embassy in Seoul is not among the 10 designated overseas polling stations. If you would like to vote, you may travel back to Singapore and do so on Polling Day, or register to vote at one of the 10 designated overseas polling stations.
