Dear Singaporeans,

Please be informed that neither the Singapore High Commission in Kuala Lumpur nor our Consulate-General in Johor Bahru is a gazetted Overseas Polling Station. Singaporeans in Malaysia who intend to vote will have to return to Singapore to do so. Voters on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) at designated facilities (eg. hotels) will vote at special polling centres away from other voters.

If you are unable to vote in the upcoming General Election, your name will be removed from the Registers of Electors. However, as being overseas is a valid reason, you can submit an application to restore your name to the Registers of Electors with Elections Department of Singapore (ELD) after the elections using your SingPass. For more information or clarifications, you may wish to refer to the FAQs at ELD's website at www.eld.gov.sg/faq_voters.html or email them at contact@eld.gov.sg.
