Travel Notice for Saudi Arabia

The situation in Saudi Arabia is largely stable. However due to the ongoing conflict in Yemen, Singaporeans should avoid non-essential travel to areas surrounding the Saudi-Yemeni border. There have been reports of military skirmishes along parts of the Saudi-Yemeni border and occasional missile attacks on urban areas in the western provinces and Riyadh. We advise Singaporeans, who are either travelling to or already in Saudi Arabia, to exercise caution and vigilance and take all necessary precautions in the interest of their own safety. They should monitor the local news closely ( and, observe instructions from local security authorities, and avoid areas of public gatherings and disturbances.

In addition, Singaporeans are strongly encouraged to eRegister with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at so that we can contact you should the need arise.  Singaporeans are also advised to stay in touch with your family and friends so that they know you are safe.  Those who need consular assistance could contact the Singapore Embassy in Riyadh or Singapore Consulate-General in Jeddah or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Duty Office (24 hours) at :
