APPLICATION FOR ASEAN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR VIETNAME

ACADEMIC YEAR 2020

 

Applications are now open for the ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam, Academic Year 2020. 

                   The ASEAN Scholarships for Vietnam is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced (GCE A-Level) (or equivalent) certificate.  The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary 3 to Pre-University 2.  The Scholarship will provide annual allowance with hostel accommodation; settling-in allowance; return economy class air passage; coverage of school fees and GCE O-Level and A-Level examination fees; subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover.

                   Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:

  • Nationals of Vietnam
  • Born between 2003 to 2005
  • Completed at least Grade 8 of Lower Secondary Education
  • Have done consistently well in their examinations
  • Proficiency in English and a good record of participation inco-curricular activities

Students are strongly encouraged to apply online at the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) website (https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/scholarships/asean/vietnam) by 18 April 2019. If they do not have access to the internet, they can submit the hard copy of the completed application form directly to the Singapore MOE before the closing date of 18 April 2019 at the following address:

Applicants who wish to seek the Embassy’s assistance in forwarding the hard copy application forms to Singapore MOE should submit directly to the Embassy (not through the Ministry of Education and Training or local Departments of Education and Training) before 8 April 2019 at the following address:

Please note that there are 2 modes of application – online and hardcopy application and only one mode of application should be submitted to the Singapore MOE.
