Certificate of Clearance

A Certificate of Clearance (COC) is issued by the Criminal Investigation Department to certify that a person has no criminal conviction within a stipulated period of time of residence in Singapore. The Singapore Embassy in Hanoi is not authorised to issue such certificates.

With effect from 18 October 2010, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) will cease to issue Certificate of Clearance (COCs) to non-Singapore citizens. More information can be obtained from the SPF website at http://www.spf.gov.sg.

With effect from 22 June 2016, Singapore citizens who are overseas may make an appointment to take their fingerprints at the Singapore Embassy in Hanoi once they have successfully submitted their application online.

For applicants in Singapore, the application is also to be submitted online. Applicants would have to make payment and book a fingerprinting appointment through the eService.

Non-Singaporean applicants residing overseas may submit their appeal here
