The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) is an organisation of Parliaments of Sovereign States. It was established in 1889 and its secretariat is based in Geneva. Singapore Parliament is a member of the IPU and Singapore's Members of Parliament regularly attends the IPU Assemblies in Geneva and other locations.
