OFFICIAL VISIT OF MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS GEORGE YEO
TO THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN, 5-8 NOVEMBER 2010
Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will make an official visit to Iran from 5 to 8 November 2010, followed by his participation in the 9th Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Ministerial Meeting in Tehran. In addition to Tehran, Minister Yeo will also travel to the cities of Qom and Isfahan for official meetings. In Tehran, Minister Yeo will meet Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Minister of Commerce Mahdi Ghazanfari and other Iranian leaders.
The Mayor of Qom Mohammad Hossein Mousapour will host Minister Yeo to lunch during his visit to the city. He will also meet Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, a member of Iran's Guardian Council, and visit the Ayatollah Marashi Library which houses a priceless collection of books and manuscripts on Islam. In Isfahan, Minister Yeo will meet Governor Alireza Zaker Esfahani and members of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce.
