In Hefei, MOS Tan met Anhui Executive Vice Governor Deng Xiangyang and Hefei Party Secretary Song Guoquan. In Chuzhou, MOS Tan met Chuzhou Party Secretary Zhang Xiang’an. They had good discussions on developments in Anhui and the province’s strategies towards the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region. They also exchanged views on deepening cooperation in a number of areas, such as the development of industrial parks and training of officials.
MOS Tan visited the Suzhou-Chuzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the first venture of the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group outside Jiangsu Province, and a highlight of our cooperation with Anhui Province. MOS Tan also visited the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), where he had a fruitful discussion with USTC Party Secretary Shu Gequn on the science and innovation scene in Anhui.
MOS Tan will return to Singapore today.
