1 The Governor of the Bank of Thailand Dr Veerathai Santiprabhob is visiting Singapore from 15 to 16 August 2019 at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan under the S R Nathan Fellowship.
2 Governor Veerathai called on Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing, and was hosted to lunch by Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam today. Governor Veerathai also visited SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore.
3 Governor Veerathai will be hosted to meals by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat and Minister Balakrishnan tomorrow. Governor Veerathai will also receive briefings by the Ministry of Communications and Information, and the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office.
4 The S R Nathan Fellowship is a high-level programme where foreign leaders, prominent personalities and opinion shapers are invited to Singapore to exchange ideas and experiences on important issues with Singapore leaders and senior government officials. The Fellowship was launched by former President S R Nathan and then-Minister for Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam in November 2012.
