MFA Press Statement: Official Visit by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan His Excellency Ayman Al Safadi, 7 to 8 November 2018

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Al Safadi will make an introductory visit to Singapore from 7 to 8 November 2018. Minister Al Safadi’s visit reaffirms the warm and friendly ties between Singapore and Jordan.

Minister Al Safadi will pay courtesy calls on President Halimah Yacob and Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean, and be hosted to separate meals by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli. Minister Al Safadi and Minister Balakrishnan will co-officiate at the opening of the Embassy of Jordan on 8 November 2018.

In addition, Minister Al Safadi will deliver the 33^rd International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Fullerton Lecture entitled “Challenges and Opportunities in the Middle East: A Jordanian Perspective” on 7 November 2018, and attend the Singapore-Jordan Business Roundtable organised by the Singapore Business Federation on 8 November 2018.
