MFA Spokesperson's Comments on the Telephone Call between Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on 23 October 2018

The MFA Spokesperson said:

“Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan had a telephone call with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on 23 October 2018.

Minister Balakrishnan welcomed the upcoming visit by US Vice President Mike Pence to Singapore next month, which will be his first as Vice President, and his attendance at the 6^th ASEAN-US Summit and 13^th East Asia Summit.

Both sides also discussed areas of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on international and regional developments.”
