MFA Press Statement: Visit of Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Social and Family Development Sam Tan to Iceland - 18 to 21 October 2018

Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Social and Family Development Sam Tan will visit Reykjavik, Iceland from 18 to 21 October 2018 to attend the 6^th Arctic Circle Assembly (ACA). MOS Tan will deliver an opening statement at the ACA.

On the sidelines of the 6^th ACA, MOS Tan will call on President Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson, Minister for Foreign Affairs Guðlaugur Þór Þórðarson and have meetings with other key Arctic personalities.

Initiated by former Icelandic President Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson in 2013, the ACA is an annual forum topromote international dialogue and cooperation on the future of the Arctic. This is the sixth time that Singapore has been invited to attend the ACA since we were granted observer status in the Arctic Council in 2013.

MOS Tan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
