Ministry of Foreign Affairs Press Statement: State Visit of His Excellency Bounnhang Vorachith, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, 9 to 10 May 2018

His Excellency Bounnhang Vorachith, President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, will make a State Visit to Singapore from 9 to 10 May 2018 at the invitation of President Halimah Yacob. President Bounnhang will call on President Halimah, who will also host a Welcome Ceremony and a State Banquet in his honour. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will also meet President Bounnhang. President Bounnhang will visit the Urban Redevelopment Authority and the Singapore Tourism Board.

President Bounnhang will be accompanied by his spouse Mrs Khammeung Vorachith, Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith, Minister and Head of President’s Office Khammeung Phongthady, Minister of Industry and Commerce Khemmani Pholsena, Minister of Education and Sports Sengdeuane Lachanthaboune, Minister of Planning and Investment Dr Souphanh Keomixay, Minister of Health Associate Professor Dr Bounkong Syhavong, Vice Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Bounkham Vorachit, senior government officials and a business delegation.
