MFA Press Statement: Visit by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan to Perth, Australia, 4 to 5 November 2017

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will visit Perth, Australia from 4 to 5 November 2017 to attend the Asia-Pacific Regional Conference (APRC). The APRC is organised by the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce for political and business leaders from Australia, Germany and Asia-Pacific countries to explore opportunities to enhance trade and investment flows.

Minister Balakrishnan will deliver a keynote address at a session entitled Policy Dialogue: Geopolitics in the Asia-Pacific Region – Opportunities, Challenges and Perspectives on 5 November 2017. Minister Balakrishnan will also have bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the conference, including with Timor-Leste Prime Minister Dr Mari Alkatiri, Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop, Australian Minister for Finance Mathias Cormann, and Australian Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong.

Minister Balakrishnan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
