President Tony Tan Keng Yam has written to President Dr Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran to offer his condolences over the terrorist attacks in Tehran on 7 June 2017.

I was shocked and saddened by the attacks on the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in Tehran on 7 June 2017. On behalf of the people of Singapore, I convey my deepest condolences to the bereaved families and victims. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Iran during this difficult time.
