MFA is shocked to learn of the explosions in Brussels. We condemn these terrorist attacks which resulted in the loss of many innocent lives. We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and wish the injured a speedy recovery.
Our Embassy in Brussels is closely monitoring the situation and contacting registered Singaporeans in the city to ascertain their safety. The Embassy is also in close contact with the Belgian authorities. Thus far, there are no reports of Singaporeans affected by the blasts.
Singaporeans are advised to stay vigilant, take the necessary precautions, and follow the instructions of the local authorities. Singaporeans in Brussels and other parts of Belgium who require consular assistance should contact the Singapore Embassy at + 32 2 660 2979 or consvc@mfa.sg.
