MFA Press Statement: Visit by Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam to Perth, Australia, 8 to 10 October 2014

        Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K Shanmugam will attend the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) 14^th Council of Ministers Meeting in Perth, Australia on 9 October 2014.  He will also take the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with some of his foreign counterparts attending the IORA meeting.

        Singapore is one of the founding members of IORA, which was established in 1997 as an organisation to promote regional trade and economic cooperation among the Indian Ocean littoral and island states.

        Minister Shanmugam will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
