Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs Masagos Zulkifli will visit Surabaya in East Java, Indonesia from 20 to 22 August 2014. The visit is part of Singapore’s efforts to strengthen engagement with the Indonesian regions.
SMS Masagos is scheduled to meet local leaders, including Vice Governor of East Java Saifullah Yusuf and Mayor of Surabaya Tri Rismaharini. SMS Masagos will also hand over a donation of over 200 books from the National Library Board to the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). The NU is one of Indonesia’s most well-established mass Islamic organisations. SMS will also meet local business and media personalities.
SMS Masagos will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Enterprise Singapore.
