In response to media queries on whether there are still Singaporeans in areas affected by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), the MFA Spokesman said:

"Our Embassy in Manila remains in close touch with the relevant Philippine authorities to ascertain the safety of Singaporeans who may be in areas affected by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). Singaporeans in the Philippines who require consular assistance can contact MFA (24-hours) at 63798800 or our Embassy in Manila at +63 (2) 856 9922."
