MFA Press Statement: Visit of Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli to Bintan, Riau Islands, 27 March 2013

Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli visited Bintan, Indonesia on 27 March 2013.

While in Bintan, SMS Masagos met with Riau Islands Governor Muhammad Sani. They reaffirmed the strong ties between Singapore and the Riau Islands province, and exchanged views on ways to strengthen economic and tourism cooperation.

SMS Masagos also met with Bintan Vice-Regent Khazalik. They discussed developments in Bintan and the strengthening of cultural and people-to-people linkages between Singapore and Bintan. In addition, SMS Masagos met with Singaporeans working in Bintan.
