President of the Ghaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation Dr Saif Al-Islam Al-Ghaddafi called on Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong at the Istana this afternoon. Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed and Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Education S Iswaran were also present.
Senior Minister Goh and Dr Saif expressed satisfaction with the progress that has been achieved in bilateral cooperation and re-affirmed the mutual commitment to further enhance economic cooperation and share experiences in areas of mutual interest. The Libyan side also raised the possibility of setting up a Trade Office in Singapore. Both sides also exchanged views on developments in Asia and the Middle East.
Earlier, Senior Minister of State Zainul Abidin Rasheed hosted a welcome lunch for Dr Saif. During his visit, Dr Saif will also meet with Singapore business leaders and attend the F1 Grand Prix night race.
