Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will visit the Kingdom of Bahrain from 29 June to 2 July 2009. Minister Yeo will lead the Singapore delegation to the first full-fledged ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council Ministerial Meeting in Manama, Bahrain from 29 to 30 June 2009. At the meeting, the Foreign Ministers will engage in discussions on enhancing cooperation between ASEAN and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
From 1 to 2 July, Minister Yeo will hold bilateral talks with his counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, as well as meet with other members of the Bahraini Royal family and senior officials.
Minister Yeo will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
