Registration of Singaporeans Overseas
One-time Re-registration Exercise
All Singaporeans residing overseas are encouraged to re-register via eRegister (if you have not already done so), a service accessible at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular Homepage at http://www.mfa.gov.sg/consular.
Electronic Registration (eRegister)
Electronic Register (eRegister), an online registration system which enhances consular services for Singaporeans living or travelling overseas, was launched on Monday, 3 July 2000. Singaporeans overseas can submit their registration electronically via eRegister at http://www.mfa.gov.sg/consular.
Upon submission of the on-line form, eRegister will automatically send the information to the nearest Singapore Mission and to MFA. Users will also be shown an acknowledgement page in which contact details of that Mission are provided. All information provided will be kept strictly confidential.
After the given date of departure, eRegister will automatically purge the records of Singaporeans from the register. The updated information stored in a central database ensures quick retrieval of vital information on the whereabouts of Singaporeans to be contacted for assistance in times of crisis such as civil unrest or natural calamity. The MFA will be able to contact Singaporeans in affected areas in the shortest possible time.
Registration by hard copy
For Singaporeans who are not familiar with the Internet or have no access to the Internet, they may complete a hard copy of the registration form at the Embassy.
Do remember to give us timely advice of a change of address and telephone number.
