RENEWAL OF SINGAPORE DRIVING LICENCE

1. APPLICATION SUBMITTED IN PERSON
   

   If you wish to submit your application in person at one of the Singapore Missions in US, you are required to bring the following documents:

   1. Present Singapore Driving Licence
      
      
   2. Singapore Passport or NRIC
      
      
   3. One passport size photograph. The photograph must be:
      • In colour;
      • Passport-size (35mm wide by 45 mm high without border);
      • The facial image must be between 25mm and 35mm from chin to crown;
      • Taken within the last three months;
      • Taken against plain white background with a matt or semi-matt finish; and
      • Taken full face without headgear, unless the applicant habitually wears a headgear in accordance with religious or racial custom. The headgear must not hide the applicant’s facial features.
        
        
   4. Form Annex A - Details on applicant’s residential address overseas, e-mail address and contact number both overseas and in Singapore (if applicable)
      
      
   5. Licence fee of $50 in Singapore currency in International Bank Draft, International Money Order or Singapore cheque made payable to Commander Traffic Police. International Bank Draft and International Money Order made out in foreign currency will not be accepted.

   NOTES:

   As your application will be processed by the Traffic Police in Singapore, the processing time is approximately 8 to 10 weeks from the date of receipt of the application.

      1. For delivery of your Singapore Driving Licence by post, please arrange for a self-addressed and stamped United States Postal Service (USPS) Express Mail envelope. Federal Express, DHL, UPS, Airborne, Certified mail, etc. are not acceptable.

   The Singapore Missions are not responsible for any documents lost in the mail.

2. APPLICATION THROUGH MAIL

If you wish to submit your application through mail to one of the Singapore Missions in US, please note that you will have to collect the new licence from one of the Singapore Missions in person for verification. You are required to mail the following documents:

1. Original Application Form
   (Please indicate the Mission you wish to collect the licence under the “Delivery Address” section.) If you wish to receive the application form or the statutory declaration form by post, please send us a self-addressed stamped (US$0.99) return envelope (size: A4). Please indicate outside the envelope the type of forms and the quantity required

2. Photocopy of Singapore Driving Licence

3. Photocopy of Singapore Passport and NRIC

4. One passport size photograph to be pasted on the form. The photograph must be:
   • In colour;
   • Passport-size (35mm wide by 45 mm high without border);
   • The facial image must be between 25mm and 35mm from chin to crown;
