IMMIGRATION MATTERS - APPLICATION / RENEWAL FOR A CERTIFICATE OF IDENTITY

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Completed Application Form 6 (To download, please go to http://www.ica.gov.sg/data/resources/docs/PR%20Services/Form6.pdf);
     
  2. Copy of the latest Singapore Certificate of Identity;
     
  3. Copies of the following pages of your current and previous passports : Page 1 (your biodata), page with latest expiration date, pages with Singapore Employment/Dependant's Pass stamps, pages with current & expired re-entry permits;
     
  4. Copy of Singapore Blue Identity Card / Identity Card for National Service personnel;
     
  5. Documentary proof from your college or other institution of study or from your employer certifying the necessity for you to remain overseas;
     
  6. Copy of valid Exit Permit if you are liable for National Service / Notice of Exemption if you are exempted from National Service;
     
  7. Documentary proof of the whereabouts of your spouse and dependant (if applicable);
     
  8. Copy of marriage certificate (if applicable);
     
  9. Copy of spouse’s identity card (if applicable);
     

NOTES:

  1. Processing Time is normally 6 to 8 weeks from the date of receipt of the application. Application should be submitted at least 2 months before the expiry of the Certificate of Identity. This is to allow sufficient time for processing. All successful applicants must return to Singapore to collect their CIs.

    A Singapore Permanent Resident who leaves Singapore or remains outside Singapore without a valid REP will lose his/her SPR status
     
  2. At the time of submission, please do not send us any original documents or payment. The processing fees will be payable ONLY upon approval of your application.
