The National University of Singapore (NUS) is a multi-disciplinary research-intensive university with an entrepreneurial thrust.

The University offers undergraduate and graduate degree programmes in Arts & Social Sciences, Business, Computing, Dentistry, Design & Environment, Engineering, Law, Medicine and Science, as well as an undergraduate honours degree programme in music. NUS has an enrolment of about 24,000 undergraduate students and 8,000 graduate students..

Since its founding in 1905, NUS has contributed to nation-building by producing well-trained graduates to meet Singapore’s manpower needs. In tandem with Singapore’s development as a dynamic city-state competing successfully in the knowledge- and innovation-driven global economy, NUS strives to excel in education, research and service in pursuit of its vision of becoming a leading global university centred in Asia, influencing the future.

NUS actively promotes the spirit of enterprise among students, faculty and alumni. Start-up incubators and technopreneurship training programmes give students an early introduction to entrepreneurship. A network of five overseas colleges established in some of the world’s most active entrepreneurial hubs in the US, China, India and Sweden immerse students in entrepreneurial environments through full-time internships with start-up companies and part time entrepreneurial courses at partner universities such as Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, Fudan University, Indian Institute of Science and the Royal Institute of Technology (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan, KTH).
