With effect from 1st January 2010, the Singapore Embassy in Tokyo has implemented the Submission of Application for Visa Electronically (SAVE) system.
Visa applications have been outsourced to authorised visa agents, who, on behalf of their applicants, will liaise with the Embassy for the submission and collection of visas. Applicants can submit their visa applications to any one of the following three authorised visa agents in Tokyo:

Visa Applications
The processing fee payable for each visa application is Yen 1,880. The processing fee is non-refundable regardless of the application's outcome.
In addition, a service fee will be charged by the authorised visa agents for services rendered to visa applicants.
Visa applications by post will not be accepted.
Applicants can request a travel agent or a third person to apply for the visa on their behalf but a Letter of Proxy signed by the applicants authorising the proxies to submit the visa application must be submitted.
Documents
The Documents required for visa application are as follows:
- Application form Form 14A with photo (3.5 x 3.5 cm).
- Letter of Introduction (LOI). Please complete Form V39A.
For Business Visit, a LOI is required for a visa application. The LOI may be issued by a local contact in Singapore. For visa applicants attending business negotiations / discussions in Singapore, the local contact must be a Singapore registered business entity. The person acting on behalf of the business entity must be a Singapore Citizen / Singapore Permanent Resident who is at least 21 years old. If a LOI from a Singapore local contact is not available, visa applicants may approach the Embassy to issue a LOI in support of their application.
For Social Visit, the LOI may be issued by a local contact in Singapore. Any Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) who is at least 21 years old can act as a local contact. The LOI may also be issued by a Singapore company, tour agent or hotel in Singapore. If applicants are unable to furnish a LOI from a Singapore local contact, they may approach the Embassy to issue a LOI to support their visa applications. Alternatively, applicants may wish to submit a letter explaining their situation together with their visa application (Form 14A) for ICA's consideration.
- Passport (Note: Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry).
- Photocopies of bio-data page, pages with visa endorsements and last 3 pages of Passport.
- Confirmed Air Ticket (paper or e-Ticket) or Official Flight Itinerary issued by a travel agent / reservation desk / airline / established travel ticketing source.
- Photocopies of air ticket or flight itinerary.
