Electronic Registration (eRegister)
eRegister was launched in July 2000 to enhance consular services for Singaporeans living or travelling overseas.
How to eRegister
If you are travelling or relocating to Japan in the near future, please click here to eRegister.
The process is simple and takes only a few minutes. All personal information provided will be kept strictly confidential.
After the given date of departure, eRegister will automatically purge the records of Singaporeans from the register.
Registration by hard copy
For Singaporeans who are not familiar with the Internet or have no access to the Internet, they may complete a hard copy of the registration form at the Embassy.
Do remember to give us timely advice of a change in address and telephone number.
How it Works
Upon submission of the on-line form, eRegister will automatically send the information to the nearest Singapore Embassy and to MFA. Users will be shown an acknowledgement page in which contact details of that Embassy concerned are provided.
The information is stored in a central database which ensures quick retrieval of vital information on the whereabouts of Singaporeans who requires assistance and enables MFA or the Embassy to contact them during times of crisis such as civil unrest or natural calamity.
Long-term stayers in Japan will be assigned to an Emergency Contact Network (ECN) group.
