Suspension of consular counter services at the Singapore Consulate in New York on 10 September 2015
The Singapore Consulate in New York will be designated as an Overseas Polling Station from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm on Thursday, 10 September 2015, for the Singapore General Election 2015. Please note that consular counter services at the Consulate will be suspended during the said period. Should you require urgent consular assistance, please contact +1 917 293 4540. Consular counter services at the Singapore Consulate in New York will resume on Friday, 11 September at 9.00 am.
Please also note that on 10 September 2015, only registered overseas electors who have registered to vote at the New York Consulate polling station will be permitted to enter the premises to cast their votes. Every overseas elector who is eligible to vote will receive a poll letter from the Elections Department, which will be mailed to his/her overseas address. The poll letter will contain details of the date and hours of polling at his/her allotted overseas polling station. For those who have provided their email address in their application form, a similar poll letter will also be sent to them. Alternatively, overseas electors can access the Election Department’s eServices at http://www.eld.gov.sg/online.html with their SingPass to check on their polling day details. Overseas electors should bring their polling letter and original NRIC or passport to the polling station.
